Visualization of Personalized Faceted Browsing

Current user needs and expectations increasingly shift focus away from simple information lookup towards more complex tasks collectively described as exploratory search. This requires the development of novel approaches and tools to search, navigation and processing of information, such as personalized faceted browsing. We describe a visualization approach for personalized faceted browsers suitable for exploratory search tasks in large information spaces, and apply it to the job offers, scientific publications and digital images domains.
